On Friday, January 30, 2009, the New Year’s pie cutting was held in the Faculty Lounge, in the presence of all faculty and administrative personnel. Director Mrs. Merkouri wished the staff good health and much success.

The traditional gathering of teachers from Preliminary English classes with the parents of students took place on Saturday, October 18, 2008 in our School’s Conference Room. The Director, Mrs. Miranta Merkouri, with teachers: Mss. Dimitra Roussou & Mary Tzouvelakou analysed the teaching method for students on this level, with the help of slides and answered parent questions regarding the teaching methodology applied by the school.

On Sunday, January 18, 2009, at the Conference Center of the Ilia Prefecture, the Board of Ilia PALSO, awarded the examinees, with the highest scores, who successfully passed the May 2008 PALSO and EDEXCEL December 2007, and EDEXCEL May 2008 examinations with a gift raffle for those present.

The Director Mrs. Merkouri celebrated the students' success, on the FCE and ECCE English diplomas, with them, at a night out in Pirgos.
The European Center for Language Studies – Miranta Merkouri is an achievement inspired by Miranta Merkouri, who after lengthy studies and a professional career, domestically and abroad, returns dynamically in 1991 to the place of her descent, Pirgos of the Ilia prefecture, to fulfill her goals: to offer her knowledge and extensive experience in the field of foreign language education.
